| COBRA FILLER |
The
Cobra is a very flexible filler. The bag can be removed
from any of three sides and it is very easy (and relatively
inexpensive) to add automatic bag removal. The Cobra filler
eliminates the need for an operator platform as the bag
support structure is lowered to allow the operator to
easily rig the bag.

 |
| Model A |
|
An
economical filling machine which delivers a square,
dense, straight-sided, stackable package. More ingredient
per bag means fewer bags, less storage space and reduced
transport costs. Model A is the only bottom-supported
filler in the industry capable of providing true bag
release. Stretching the fabric of the bag during filling
forces the bag to take its final "set" on the filler,
not during transport, which means no leaning bags. This
model is suitable for free-flowing ingredients like
granular salt, plastic pellets, sugar and PVC powder,
where the untamped/tamped bulk density ratio is between
0.9 to 1, and where hang filling without compaction
is acceptable. Model A fills bags volumetrically, although
weighing can be added as an option. Available in Standard
Mild Steel or 304 Stainless Steel.
|
| Model A/V |
Model
A/V provides a safe, economical, and easy-to-use machine
to fill bags with commonly packaged ingredients. The filling
machine executes a cycle of bag stretch and vibration
while filling to produce straight, stable, densely packed
bags. This reduces ingredient waste and the quantity of
bags used while cutting labor and transport costs. Inventive
design produced a grid vibration table which raises at
intervals to vibrate the bottom of the bag through the
pallet during weighing and filling. A filling specific
controller, located on the machine, activates the sequence
for maximum filling operator accuracy and operator ease.
This model fills bags with powders, granules or pellets
which require limited compaction and require weighing.
Model A/V can be readily integrated to multiple, high
volume filling stations. Available in Standard Mild Steel
or 304 Stainless Steel.

| Model B |
|
Model
B is for applications such as filling bulk bags with
powders, where the full capabilities of Control and
Metering's patented densification system are required.
The bottom activated coned table is shaped to fill the
bag corners and automatically cycled to tamp and densify
the ingredient. Hang filling and hang weighing produce
a stable, dense and accurately filled bulk bag ready
for removal on a pallet with a forklift truck. Models
fill bags between 30" and 80" and to a max. weight of
5,000 lbs. Model B is ideal for use in more demanding
applications when ingredient compaction is required
and fork truck access is available. It can fill unlined
or lined bags with powders, granules, pellets and flakes,
even when the ingredient is difficult to compact. Available
in Standard Mild Steel or 304 Stainless Steel.

|
| Model C |
|
Model
C filling machines suit the most demanding of applications
and are ideal with virtually all ingredients including
wood chips and carbon black. With the Control and Metering
patented coned lift table to achieve enhanced tamping
and densification, and a dual purpose fill head and
liner inflation to fill lined and unlined bags effectively,
Model C produces the most densely packed, stable bulk
package possible. It also offers a high degree of automation,
with automatic bag height adjustment, filling specific
controls, and upgradability to Automatic Bag Removal
and Conveyor models. Model C is suitable for a wide
range of ingredients including powders, granules, pellets
and flakes. The patented coned lift table ensures maximum
compaction with even the most difficult of ingredients:
carbon black, titanium dioxide and wood chips. This
model allows bulk bags to be larger (up to 80" tall)
and heavier (up to 4,000 lbs) than on Models A or B.
Model C offers a good degree of production flexibility
with features such as automatic bag height adjustment,
a configuration to allow 2 bags to be stacked within
the machine, and output can be increased by adding automatic
bag removal and roller conveyors. Available in Standard
Mild Steel or 304 Stainless Steel.

| THE CAROUSEL BULK BAG FILLING
STATION |
The
Carousel is suitable for high output, up to 70 bulk bags
x 1000 kg per hour, of both powdered and granular ingredients.
The weight accuracy obtained can be 250 grams per ton.
The packaging machine consists of a carousel with three
or four operating stations. Two operators manage the entire
FIBC (Flexible Intermediate Bulk Containers) packaging
process: one ties the bag in place and inflates the liner
(if used), and the second ties off the liner and bag.
The Carousel is capable of filling lined and unlined bags.
It hang fills, features a coned lift table for compaction,
and conveys the filled bags away from the station.
Station 1
The bulk bags are hung on the
adjustable arms of the Carousel. Liner inflation is
performed here, if required.
Station 2
The filling head lowers onto the bulk
bag inlet spout and a pre-weighed amount of product
is discharged into the bag. Beneath the bag is a vibrating
coned, lifted table which rises to support the bag before
filling and lowers when filling is complete. This helps
to compact the bulk bag for stability and economy.
Station 3
A hydraulic scissor lift belt conveyor
rises beneath the filled bulk bag and removes it from
the Carousel. This can be automatic, or operator assisted,
depending on the bulk bag. A series of sequenced conveyors
transport the filled bag to be tied off, and to be check-weighed
if necessary, before the filled bag is removed by forklift
truck.
